After teasing the track on Twitter back in April, YouTuber Kai Cenat finally dropped his first official single, “Bustdown Rollie Avalanche,” featuring NLE Choppa. The collaboration isn’t totally out of left field. In a behind-the-scenes look at the song’s recording process shared on Cenat’s YouTube page, NLE Choppa admits he and his producer were fans of the social media star before the link-up. Fans approve of the pairing as well. Since its release, “Bustdown Rollie Avalanche” has climbed into the Top 20 on the Genius Top Songs chart.
Produced by DracoKid, “Bustdown Rollie Avalanche” starts off with the chorus, where Cenat proudly claims it’s his first time spitting the flow (it’s actually not) before NLE Choppa comes in for the reprise.
Bustdown Rollie, avalanche
Yeah, my old bitch average
This my first time rappin’ it
I might go retarded, shit
On the first verse, Cenat boasts about his luxury cars, his expensive jewelry, and his meteoric success. Then, he reminds us all that this is only the beginning for him.
My prime, I ain’t past that shit
The surface, I’m just scratchin’ it
Next up, NLE Choppa uses a reference to UFC star Conor McGregor to describe his impeccable aim. He then details his preference for more mature women and comes up with quite the Freudian nickname for them.
Drac’ hit his face like I’m Conor
Cougar bitch, I’m fuckin’ on her
Nickname her Donna or Mama (Mama)
NLE Choppa ends his verse by proving he’s up on current events. He’s aware of the recent surge in gas prices—even though it hasn’t really been a problem for him.
Gas prices, they been high, but a full tank how we fill ’em (Fill ‘em up)
“Bustdown Rollie Avalanche” arrived alongside a music video, in which Cenat and NLE Choppa dance on countertops and show off their icy bling at a house party.
