At just 22 years of age, Duumu has accomplished what so many dream of just out of college. With a fresh take on the future sounds of electronic music, DJ and producer Duumu has been turning heads with his releases over the past years. He has released a handful of singles and an EP on taste making Canadian label: Monstercat (responsible for breaking artists such as Marshmello and San Holo), and racked up well over 9 million plays across platforms.

Born Charlie Kurata, this energetic French producer was influenced by his upbringing around jazz and rock musicians in Paris and London. Duumu draws on both the old and new to create a refreshing sound, full of finesse and never short on energy. He’s already garnered support from the likes of DROELOE, San Holo, SMLE and KUURO.

In 2020, Charlie was thinking about discontinuing his Duumu alias. He had ceased to find enjoyment in creating EDM/Electronic music and had lost connection to the Duumu project. Over the course of ~a year, he has released 2 EP’s and one single, all independently as he had left Monstercat due to issues between him and the label. On October 1st of 2021, he released the first single of his final EP. He has mentioned in a live q&a that this is his favorite song ever released under Duumu. On the 22nd of October, Charlie released the After You EP, and closed the umbrella after almost 10 years.
