Jermaine Elliott

Artist

Jermaine Elliott Cherry was born on June 1, 1991 in Queens, New York. Jermaine grew up in Freeport, Long Island where he discovered his desire for music at the tender age of two. His parents knew there was something special about Jermaine because they would constantly find him dancing and singing with a mic in his hand. Jermaine continued to pursue his passion for music by performing in his high school talent shows and dance teams.

As his interest in music continued to grow, Jermaine learned how to play the piano and drums. With his passion and drive Jermaine has had various major opportunities such as appearances in MTV music videos for major artists such as Bun B and Rev Run.

With Jermaine’s knack for understanding sound and the frustrations associated with not having anyone to replicate the sound he envisioned, he began to master the art of musical engineering and started to produce beats. Artists such as Michael Jackson, Usher, Omarion, Shallamar, Stevie Wonder, Barry Gordy, and Smokey Robinson to name a few, have been very influential for Jermaine. Mastering the art of musical engineering did not seem to be fulfilling Jermaine, there was still something missing, so he decided to pursue singing.

Today, Jermaine who goes by the stage name J.Eliaye focuses on producing beats for artists while simultaneously working on his own projects. J. Eliaye has produced hundreds of songs. Some of his records include “Ocean Drive”, “Toronto Sixteen”, “Distorted Love” and “They Say” to name just a few. J.Eliaye is a very talented artist, producer, and performer, only greatness can come from such a talented young man.
