Born October 25, 1981 in Oklahoma City Austin John Winkler is an American singer, songwriter, and musician best known for being a founding member and the former lead singer of the American rock band Hinder who spawned the record setting song “Lips of an Angel” that blew up radio charts from 2006-2007.

Since his departure from Hinder in November 2013, Winkler has continued his career as a solo artist, under the name Austin John Winkler and occasionally will just label his work as “Austin John”. Austin’s first release as a solo artist, a six-song EP titled Love Sick Radio was released on April 22, 2016.

As of October 2021 Austin is working on releasing his next project as a solo artist, in July 2021 he posted to social media he was filming a new music video for his new song “Super Jaded”.
