Mitya Burmistrov is a musician from Kazan (currently living in Belgrade), the creator of three music projects (MITYA, Чёрный Государь, acid minerale), and an indie label.

In the 2010s, Mitya gained popularity on the internet with his beatboxing under the pseudonym Masta Mic, becoming the first music YouTube channel in Russia to reach 50 million views.

Mitya has performed music installations for TED Talks in Canada and MoogFest in the USA, performed at the 2010 Olympics, and served as a mentor for the music residency program at IMI (International Media Institute). He has also participated in the OneBeat residency.

In 2016, Mitya directed the series “Echpochfank” and recorded an album in the villages of Tatarstan with Red Bull. Netflix acquired his song “1 Life Is Not Enough” for the series “Dear White People.” Mitya’s DIY music videos are played on MTV and 2x2.

In the fall, Mitya will release his debut album and a musical series called “Altaidelica.”
