Kevin Essett II, better known by his stage name BlackMayo, is a hip-hop producer and rapper from Bloomington, Indiana. He has worked with the likes of Lil Mosey, Flipp Dinero, Lil Tjay, 24kGoldn, and many more.
Mayo first gained recognition for producing Lil Mosey’s breakout single “Pull Up,” which has amassed over 30 million views on YouTube since its release in December 2017.
Mayo made a comeback in 2019 after producing rapper 24kGoldn’s breakout single, “VALENTINO,” which peaked at number 92 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Mayo his first Billboard-charting hit.
Mayo also raps and has sparked a viral TikTok challenge with his December 2018 track “Jus' Know.”
On January 8, 2021, BlackMayo released his debut album, OMO (On My Own).
