Spiritbox is a Canadian heavy metal band founded in Victoria, British Columbia by guitarist Mike Stringer and vocalist Courtney LaPlante, who are husband and wife.
Having been prior members of the metalcore band Iwrestledabearonce, Stringer and LaPlante wanted to pursue a different direction and form their joint musical project. Spiritbox released their debut album Eternal Blue in 2021.
LaPlante’s musical focus is on lyrics that reflect meaning to her.
