I Måneskin sono un gruppo rock italiano originario di Roma e composto da Damiano David (voce), Victoria De Angelis (basso), Thomas Raggi (chitarra) ed Ethan Torchio (batteria).
Il loro nome, che significa “chiaro di luna”, viene dal danese, lingua d'origine della madre di Victoria.
La scalata al successo inizia nel 2017 con la partecipazione all'undicesima edizione del noto talent show X Factor. Non vincono, ottengono il secondo posto, ma questo basta per il trionfo morale e il boom di popolarità.
Nel dicembre 2017 pubblicano l'EP Chosen, che raccoglie i frutti del percorso ad X Factor e li lancia sul mercato discografico. Nell'ottobre 2018 è la volta del loro album d'esordio, Il ballo della vita.
Nel marzo 2021 il gruppo partecipa al Festival di Sanremo presentando il brano “ZITTI E BUONI”, con cui vincono la kermesse. Poche settimane dopo, esce il loro secondo album, Teatro D'ira – Vol.I. Nel maggio dello stesso anno, in virtù della vittoria a Sanremo, il gruppo rappresenta l'Italia all'Eurovision Song Contest: Rotterdam 2021 con il brano “ZITTI E BUONI”, vincendo la competizione a distanza di 31 anni dall'ultima affermazione italiana.

Måneskin are an Italian rock band originally from Rome and composed of Damiano David (vocals), Victoria De Angelis (bass), Thomas Raggi (guitar) and Ethan Torchio (drums).
Their name, which means “moonlight”, comes from Danish, the native language of Victoria’s mother.
Their climb to success begins in 2017 with the participation in the eleventh edition of the well-known talent show X Factor. They did not win, they got second place, but that’s enough for moral triumph and a boom in popularity.
In December 2017, they published the Chosen EP, which collects the fruits of their X Factor path and launches them on the record market. In October 2018, it was the turn of their debut album, Il ballo della vita.
In March 2021 the group participated in the Festival di Sanremo by presenting the song “ZITTI E BUONI”, with which they won the festival. A few weeks later, they released their second album, Teatro D'ira – Vol.I . In May of the same year, by virtue of the victory in Sanremo, the group represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest: Rotterdam 2021 with the song “ZITTI E BUONI”, winning the competition 31 years after the last Italian success.
