Nine Inch Nails

Artist

Nine Inch Nails is an industrial rock project led by multi-instrumentalist Trent Reznor, the only constant member for many years until Atticus Ross officially joined in 2016, often selecting a cast of different band members for live performances. It is known for producing several highly influential records during the 1990s encompassing a wide array of genres, including industrial and electronic rock. After eight studio releases, the project was put on hiatus by Reznor to focus on other projects in 2009 before returning with announced tour dates stretching across the United States and foreign countries on March 11, 2013.

Nine Inch Nails has been nominated for 13 Grammy Awards, winning twice for “Wish” and “Happiness In Slavery.” Leading member Trent Reznor was also featured in Time magazine’s list of the year’s most influential people, and Spin magazine has described him as “the most vital artist in music.”

The band has released nine studio albums since their debut in 1989, alongside four original EP’s and were one of the first artists to have an independently released record go platinum. They’ve had two U.S. #1 albums with The Fragile and With Teeth and four other top 5 charting releases.

Each official Nine Inch Nails release is given a Halo number; a list of all Halo numbered releases can be found here.
