Born in Brooklyn amidst a resurgence of New York-based rock bands including Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs! and the Strokes, Atomic Tom recorded their debut album The Moment in a 3rd-floor apartment with microphones in the bathtub and amps piled high in a closet.

Atomic Tom caught the attention of Republic Records and signed a deal following a sold-out Arlene’s Grocery residency. After the album release was delayed, Atomic Tom took their career back by filming their iPhone performance of “Take Me Out” on the B Train, their performance racked up 2 million views in less than a week. The stunt propelled Atomic Tom on a year-long tornado that included performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, George Lopez Tonight!, Rachel Ray, CNN, E! and others.

Atomic Tom followed The Moment with a cover of Human League’s “Don’t You Want Me Baby”. The video featured Anna Faris, Teresa Palmer, Topher Grace & Dan Fogler.

Following the release of their EP In Parallel in 2012, Atomic Tom hid out in Los Angeles to begin recording their second full-length album. After three years and a departure from their label, ERA was independently released in 2015. “Someone to Love” was featured on the New Music Friday, Alt-Good and Chill playlists.
