Summer Marjani Walker (born April 11, 1996) is an R&B singer and songwriter hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. Walker’s raw, soulful energy explores new melodies providing her instrumentalist input in production.

Summer Walker first got into music with the guitar, which she learned from YouTube tutorials while working as a housekeeper and stripper at Atlanta. She cites Amy Winehouse, Jimi Hendrix and Erykah Badu as her main inspirations.

Summer released her first song, “Session 32,” in April 2018. In July 2018, she signed to LVRN’s (Love Renaissance) management and released her breakout single “Girls Need Love” bringing her major success and the attention of some popular artists: above all of them, Drake, who eventually got involved in the official remix of the song. Walker also released her debut commercial mixtape Last Day of Summer that same year.

In January 2019, Walker released her debut EP, CLEAR, which she then followed up with her platinum-certified debut album Over It on October 4, 2019.

In early 2020, the Atlanta native made several collaborations, including “Secret” with rapper 21 Savage and Khalid’s remix of “Eleven,” before releasing her second EP, Life on Earth, in July 2020.

On November 5, 2021, Summer released her highly anticipated sophomore studio album Still Over It.
