손채영 (Son Chae Young) monoymously known as Chaeyoung, is a Korean rapper and dancer born on April 23rd, 1999 in Seoul, South Korea. She is also a member of Korean-Japanese girl group, TWICE, under JYP Entertainment.

Before her debut in TWICE, Chaeyoung took off her idol dream in 2011. This meant she took dance classes and then she eventually auditioned to JYP Entertainment–which she then got accepted. Later on in mid 2015, she participated in reality show SIXTEEN, and ranked #6, making her an official member of TWICE.

As for Chaeyoung’s individual projects, Chaeyoung has covered multiple songs apart of TWICE’s “Melody Project” series. She had even made a duet with fellow TWICE member, DAHYUN, on a cover of “나로 바꾸자 (Switch to Me).” Two years later, in January 2023 Chaeyoung had then officially released her own photobook titled, “Yes, I am Chaeyoung.”

Suddenly, eleven days after the release of TWICE’s READY TO BE, Chaeyoung got tons of backlash after multiple photos of her wearing a swastika shirt were posted onto the internet. Although she made a public apology on her Instagram, multiple news articles were made about the situation, as well as a ton of social media videos.
