Easy Life is a British band from Leicester formed in 2017 by frontman Murray Matravers (synthesizer, keyboards, trumpet), together with bassist, saxophonist, and school friend Sam Hewitt. Also in their ranks are drummer Olly Cassidy, guitarist Lewis Berry and Jordan Birtles, on percussion, keys and backing vocals. Berry and Cassidy used to play in a band together when they were in school, while Birtles was friends with Cassidy and was also in a band previously.

They released their debut single “Pockets” in 2017 through Chess Club Records. Due to the songs inclusion on the FIFA 19 soundtrack and all-round success, they subsequently signed to Island and continued to go from strength-to-strength; headlining the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury 2019 and featuring as
Annie Mac’s ‘Hottest Record’ on BBC Radio 1 on 16th July 2019 with single “Earth”.

They released their debut studio album, life’s a beach, on 28 May 2021.

In early October 2023, the group shared the unfortunate news that they are being sued by airline easyJet – despite them forming seven years before easyGroup acquired the name easyLife, and without any prior objection from the original company – and aren’t able to finance the massive legal fight.
