Jordan Townsend, also known as RV (stands for “revenge”) and formerly known as Young RV, is a UK Drill artist from Tottenham, N17.

His name originates from a friend and rapper that passed away in 2010 called Revenge 24 that had named him Young RV and told him to carry on his name if he ever went to jail or passed away.

RV started his career in the road rap scene back in 2010 and released songs like ‘RIP Fatman & Rev 24’ and ‘Thinking’. He was associated with the group Star Gang. In 2012, RV was sentenced to 7 years in prison for his involvement in a stabbing at a barber shop.

After being released in 2016, RV returned with a ‘Blackbox Freestyle’. He then teamed up with fellow OFB member, Headie One, and formed a duo that released hugely successful tracks such as ‘How Many’, ‘Mad About Bars’ and ‘Behind Barz’.

In July, 2017, they then dropped their first joint project called ‘Drillers x Trappers’. This helped both artists gain even more recognition in the drill scene.

Following the release of their huge hit ‘Know Better’ in January, 2018, RV was again arrested and imprisoned. While in prison, he released an 11 track solo project called ‘Fresh Prince of Tottenham’.

He was finally released almost a year later at the end of January, 2019. After his release, he again teamed up with Headie One to release the follow up to their first project in March with the highly anticipated ‘Drillers x Trappers II

In August, 2019, he then released his EP called ‘Savage’ which includes features from well known artists like KO, Kwengface, PS and Smoke Boys.
