RichGirl was an American R&B vocal girl group consisting of members Audra Simmons, Christina “Brave” Williams, Kristal Lyndriette Smith (now a member of June’s Diary) and Amber “Se7en” Streeter (now known as Sevyn Streeter). The group’s name refers to “a certain attitude and confidence, combined with individuality and talent that any girl might possess, rather than material items”. The group was formed by producer Rich Harrison, and managed by Tina Davis.

Although the group never released a full debut LP, work on a self-titled debut album had begun in 2009 with a planned release in 2012. The album saw the release of a promotional-single titled “24” featuring Bun B. and two official singles, “He Ain’t wit Me Now (Tho)” and “Swagger Right”. Sevyn described the album as “motivational, empowering, fun and honest”. The girls wrote several songs on the album and did their own vocal arrangements, although Lyndriette said they “didn’t get an opportunity to write as much as we all liked only because it was a little rushed, and the label was pushing us to get it done”. In addition to executive producer Rich Harrison, the group also had sessions with Bryan-Michael Cox, The Underdogs, Dre & Vidal, KP and Malay, StarGate, Ester Dean, Chris Brown and Ne-Yo.

As they continued work on their debut album, the group were an opening act for Beyoncé on her I Am … Tour. They performed a 15-minute set, which included their single, “He Ain’t wit Me Now (Tho)”, snippets from their debut album and a cover of “Over the Rainbow”.

On September 9, 2009, RichGirl released a free EP including lead single “He Ain’t wit Me Now (Tho)” and promo singles “24’s” and “Swagger Right”, along with snippets of “Back 2 Tha Club” and “Millionaire”.

The groups' mixtape Fall in Love with RichGirl was released on Valentine’s Day, 2011, the set included cover songs as well as original material from their debut LP.

On October 7, 2011, RCA Music Group announced it was disbanding Jive Records along with Arista and J Records. With the shutdown, the group and several other acts were dropped from their parent label.
