Pan-European Digital Licensing (P.E.D.L.) is an initiative started in 2006 by Warner/Chappell Music. The initiative is designed to be a one-stop shop for digital music services licensing Warner/Chappell’s repertoire for use in Europe.
Traditionally, digital music services would have to obtain licenses from at least 25 different collections societies, but under P.E.D.L., services only have to obtain a license from one of several designated collecting societies that give the service access to pan-European digital licenses in Warner/Chappell’s Anglo-American repertoire.
