boygenius is a supergroup formed in 2018 by American alt-rock singer-songwriters Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus.
The group’s debut work came out on October 26, 2018: a self-titled EP containing six songs that were all written in the space of four days.
Five years later, on March 31, 2023, boygenius released their debut album, titled the record. The album had five singles: “$20,” “Emily I’m Sorry,” “True Blue,” “Not Strong Enough,” and “Cool About It.” The group also released a short film for the record.
boygenius' third work was their second EP, the rest, released almost seven months after their debut album, on October 13, 2023.
