Artist

Inspired by 90’s era New York rappers Jay-Z, Biggie and Nas as well as modern day Canadian Hip hop artists Drake and The Weeknd, Shosho Dania broke through in late 2017 with the release of his debut mixtape on Soundcloud; “Everything’s Good Here, Vol. 1”. Shosho was born in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to The City of Calgary (in Alberta Canada) with his family at the age of fifteen. Though Shosho had been rapping since the age of nine and had aspired to be a rapper he took a break from recording after High School to focus on growing as a writer. In the summer of 2017 Shosho had open heart surgery to repair a bad valve caused by a congenital disease, while in recovery at the hospital he started making beats on his laptop with FL Studio. As soon as he got back on his feet he hit up the studio with his beats and recorded what would eventually be his debut mixtape “Everything’s Good Here, Vol. 1”. Since then Shosho has also released the well received commercial single “Dun No Y” which is a collaboration with Calgary based production duo Overnight Hits. On May 16th 2018 Shosho officially changed his stage name to Polo Sho when he released his second mixtape on SoundCloud; “No Feilings”. The mixtape was inspired by Lil Wayne’s 2009 mixtape “No Ceilings” as it is entirely made up of freestyles over popular Rap and RnB songs’ instrumentals. Polo Sho is currently working on his third official mixtape; “Winter Waves Mixtape”, which will be released on SoundCloud November 30 2018 by LiftedOne Records.
