Rikard Sjöblom’s Gungfly is one of Rikard Sjöblom’s many musical projects. The band Gungfly was initially a solo project of Rikard during his time in Beardfish. After the dissolution of Beardfish, Rikard releases The Unbendable Sleep as a solo album, although it should have a been a Gungfly release. Changing the band’s name to “Rikard Sjöblom’s Gungfly” gives credit to Rikard’s leading role in Gungfly. Rikard gives an explanation about the name of his different projects on an interview at “Talking Perspectives”.
