MC TP, born Tony Powell Jr. (fka Tony Tone, and Yung Death) is an underground artist from Hartford CT. Is often praised because he is so young, and showcases many skills.
He is also well known for his style of Alternative Hip Hop, and has even branches out to Alternative Rock.
He states that artists like Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Kurt Cobain and Hayley Williams are influential to his everyday life and not just music wise.
Listening to his music it’s evident that there’s musical influences from Lil Peep, Horsehead, A$AP Rocky, Nas, Big L, The Weeknd, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Three 6 Mafia, The Cure and many many more.
MC TP was formerly a member a disbanded Hip Hop & R&B Collective called The Risk Takers (No official music was ever released). He was also a member of disbanded Rock Rap Collective called SUPERSTARZ ( 6 songs were recorded, none were every released).
MC TP was apart of the rap duo BRB along with King Hurst, but the two decided to start a whole new music collective called TCV.
