Artist

Rea Garvey is a singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Ireland, Garvey moved to Germany in 1998. He was the founder and front man of the pop-rock band Reamonn.

After the band parted ways in 2010, Garvey started a career as a solo artist, changing his primary genre from Anthem rock to Alternative Electro Pop. He kicked off this part of his career with the album Can’t Stand the Silence in 2011.

In 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015, Garvey was a judge in the German music casting show The Voice of Germany. In 2012, British singer-songwriter Nick Howard won the show while being coached by Garvey.

In 2018, his song “Is It Love?”, featuring German rapper Kool Savas reached high charts placements in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, marking a highlight of his career.

Garvey is deeply invested in humanitarian work, helping the Clear Water Project with his charity organisation Saving An Angel. His experience working for these causes were a major inspiration for his third solo-album Prisma.
