Originally planning to pursue engineering as a profession, Guy Berryman is now most known for being the bass guitarist of Coldplay.

Being in the same class with the other 3 at University College London (UCL), Guy was the third member to join the band and has been a constant ever since. Will Champion has commented on the formation of the band in an interview with The Guardian:

Chris and Jon [Buckland] had been writing together for a while, and then Guy [Berryman] joined, and we were always hanging out together and they needed a drummer, so I said I would give it a try.

Guy is said to be “the band’s most enthusiastic party-er” and also has an avid interest in collecting race cars.
