BANG YEDAM (방예담) is a South Korean singer under GF Entertainment. He is well known for finishing as the runner-up of SBS’s K-pop Star 2 in 2012, then debuting as the main vocalist of TREASURE in 2020, having trained for seven years at YG Entertainment as one of their most notable trainees. After parting ways form the group and YG in 2022, he released his first solo album, ONLY ONE, in November 2023.

During his training period, Yedam made cameo appearances on shows Stray Kids (2017) and YG Future Strategy Office (2018) before appearing as a contestant on YG Treasure Box, the show to determine the line-up of TREASURE. In the finale, Yedam placed first amongst the vocal trainees and had secured himself a spot in the boy group. In June 2020, he released a pre-debut single “WAYO” as a gift to fans who have been waiting patiently for the singer to make an appearance in the K-Pop industry.

Bang Yedam officially debuted with TREASURE on August 7, 2020 with the single “BOY.” The group has received massive success in their first year with their album series THE FIRST STEP. Yedam further made moves in 2022 as a songwriter, first with THE SECOND STEP : CHAPTER ONE B-Side “DARARI”, and then with senior KANG SEUNG YOON’s comeback single “BORN TO LOVE YOU”. Bang Yedam officially parted ways with TREASURE and YG Entertainment on November 8, 2022.
