Proudly from Inglewood, California, James Edward Fauntleroy II is an American singer, record producer, background vocalist and (most notably) a songwriter. He’s a member of the groups Cocaine 80’s with Common, No I.D. and Jhene Aiko, as well as the production teams 1500’s Or Nothin, The Ys and formerly The Underdogs. Fauntleroy also made high-profile appearances on Drake’s “Girls Love Beyonce”, Nipsey Hussle’s Crenshaw, J. Cole’s Born Sinner, Big Sean’s Hall of Fame and Kendrick Lamar’s “How Much a Dollar Cost”. He also contributed writing and additional vocals to G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer and JAY-Z’s Magna Carta… Holy Grail. On November 15, 2013, Timbaland released “Know Bout Me”, featuring Fauntleroy, Drake and JAY-Z. In 2014, Fauntleroy won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song for co-writing “Pusher Love Girl”, for Justin Timberlake’s highly successful third studio album The 20/20 Experience. In 2015, Fauntleroy wrote on 4 tracks on Rihanna’s eighth studio album Anti.
