Spencer Barnett

Artist

A gifted, pop-oriented singer/songwriter, Spencer Barnett emerged in 2015 playing cover songs before issuing his romantic 2017 single “Whatever.”

Born in New York in 2002, Barnett grew up in Manhattan and the San Francisco Bay Area the son of Shaklee Corporation CEO Roger Barnett and former Manhattan district attorney Sloan Barnett. Interested in music from a young age, he began writing his own music in his early teens, inspired by artists like Death Cab for Cutie, Bon Iver, and others. It was during this period that he met family friend and Third Eye Blind singer Stephan Jenkins, who took him under his wing and helped him work on his music. Jenkins produced an early covers EP with Barnett and brought him on-stage for several shows. Over the next few years, Barnett balanced his school studies with recording and touring.
