Artist

Savan Kotecha is an American songwriter and record producer from Austin, Texas. He was first credited as a songwriter in 2000 and was later picked up by Kristian Lundin and worked very closely with his recording studio The Location. It involved collaborating many of the studios associated producers, including Lundin and Jake Schulze.

However, after the studio was bought into by Roxy Recordings in 2006, Kotecha was moved to working with producers under Max Martin’s Maratone Studios and became closely affiliated with Rami Yacoub and Arnthor Birgisson. He later went on to write numerous hits with Max himself when the works of Shellback was discovered in 2007/08.

After Rami split from Maratone and began his own production company with Carl Falk called Kinglet studios in 2010, Kotecha spent a lot of time back and forth between studios, but mostly surrounded himself with Kinglet until Maratone was rebranded as MXM and Wolf Cousins in 2014. He still currently remains a valuable contributor and songwriter with MXM Music and Wolf Cousins Music.
