Audrey Nicole Assad (born July 1, 1983) is an American singer-songwriter. Her debut album, The House You’re Building, was released through Sparrow Records in July 2010 and went to be named Christian Album of 2010 on Amazon (not their streaming service) and the Christian Breakthrough Album of the Year on iTunes. She has worked and toured with other CCM artists such as Chris Tomlin, Tenth Avenue North, Matt Maher, Jars of Clay, and more. Despite over two decades of welding her Catholic faith with her music, Assad announced in late 2021 that she was no longer a Christian and in recent conversations seems to be an open spiritualist. Assad still releases music to this day, though with a different direction than many have grown accustomed to.
