After finding Matt Schaeffer washed up on the beaches of Santa Monica in 2010,
brothers Johnny and Jake Kosich were determined to raise the mysterious man as their
own. Thus, Beach Noise was born. Much is known about the glory of the Kosich
brothers: they hail from California’s most inland port city of Stockton, are both proud
graduates of California State University, Chico, and are both household names in the
world of competitive Bingo. However, details of Schaeffer’s past are scarce. His name
was determined from a faded Berklee College of Music Student ID (though no official
records of his existence can be found in any government database) and he is thought to
possess knowledge of astrophysics due to a crumpled NASA Space Camp graduation
certificate; both items were found in his pocket at his discovery.
Much like their heroes the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Beach Noise are a tight
brotherhood who bring a diverse set of skills, careful planning, and exacting execution
to all of their projects. Because of this, the group has already seen stunning success
with their production work on Bakar’s single “Hell N Back” and mixing work on Baby
Keem’s debut album Melodic Blue; helping both projects achieve gold certification.
Greater yet, Beach Noise had the privilege of producing the debut single, “The Heart
Part 5,” from Kendrick Lamar’s eagerly anticipated fifth studio album Mr. Morale & the
Big Steppers which was released globally on May 8 th , 2022 and has already accrued
tens of millions of streams and was met with immense critical acclaim.
