Watt Chamberlin

Watt Chamberlin

Artist

Watt Chamberlin was born and raised in Memphis, TN. He played basketball his whole life and wasn’t into music when he was younger. When he was about 12, a kid moved into his neighborhood that was about 16 and was really into music and rap. They became friends and he introduced Chamberlin to music and rapping. From then on, Chamberlin would do music as a hobby by freestyling and making music. His friends and him would take artist’s beats and freestyle over them and record it on the sound recorder on his computer.

Rap was still on the back burner to basketball though and Chamberlin received scholarships to play basketball. He left Memphis and went to college in San Francisco, Idaho, and Utah. When he was in Utah, he met Trey who was a music and film studies major at the school. They started recording together when Chamberlin wasn’t in practice or on the road with the team. People heard their music and loved it.

His senior year of college, Chamberlin had a career ending injury so he started applying all of his focus on music. His debut mixtape, “Bonkers” droped in Sept. 2018, with his follow up release set for March 2019.
