Wench is an experimental hiphop/electronic band comprised of close friends and frequent collaborators Arca and Shayne Oliver. Having worked together musically since 2012, they debuted the Wench project in 2015 with the HBA GALVANIZE mix for Hood By Air’s SS16 collection. Since then, they released two singles in 2016 and 2017, but their output is otherwise limited. They have also released music under the names 88 mmuussiicc and HBA.
In an interview with Dazed Magazine, the two mentioned that they were releasing an album originally recorded “in 2012 and 2013,” with “forty to fifty tracks” at their disposal. The album, however, was not released, and the project went dormant until a surprise comeback in 2021 with a set of live performances leading up to a double album: Greatest Hits ‘88 – '16
