Artist

Giacomo Manlio Turra, born in 1997 and also known as JMT, is a singer, songwriter and musician from Milan, Italy. His music explores R&B/Soul, Alternative and elements of Hip-Hop.

He took up the guitar for the first time at the age of 13 after hearing “Good Times Bad Times” by Led Zeppelin. After graduating from high school, he decided to focus completely on music and started his solo project under the name JMT.

JMT’s debut album “The Blue Hour” was released on 25 May 2018 on all streaming platforms. On the occasion of his first album, JMT played a series of Germany tour shows, including dates in Frankfurt, Mannheim and Berlin. In July 2018, JMT appeared on BalconyTV performing a new song called “Berlin”. In November 2018, JMT released “Fifth Floor”, a new single featuring Atop The Hill’s singer Daniel Ruocco.
In May 2019, JMT appeared on the latest album Afroshock by Manchester-based Nigerian artist Lewisland, singing on the track “Things I Hoped For”. In October 2019, JMT released the single “No Way Back” with his first music video, shot on Kodak Super 8 mm film. In December 2019, JMT released the music video for “Open Your Heart”, his new song with Lewisland.
