22/7 is both a fictional and real-life female Japanese idol group that was produced by Yasushi Akimoto, A-1 Productions, Aniplex and Sony Music Records and created directly into an anime of the same name which released on January 11, 2020, despite the group already having released music in 2017 with the release of the single 「僕ぼ存在していなかった」 .

The group members consist of (from last name, first name of the anime characters) Takigawa Miyu (or Miu) (滝 たき 川 がわ みう), Kono Miyako (河野都みやこ ), Saito Nicole (斎藤ニコル), Sato Reika (佐藤麗華), Tachikawa Ayaka (立川絢香), Toda Jun (戸田ジュン), Fujima Sakura (藤間桜), and Maruyame Akane (丸山あかね).

The group also has three “hidden gem members” who did not initially debut with the other eight members. This includes Kamiki Mikami (神木みかみ), Tojo Yuki (東条悠希 ) and Hiiragi Tsubomi (柊つぼみ). The hidden gem members did not officially appear until September 20, 2018.

Each of the members also has a real-life counterpart, who also voices each of the characters in both the speaking and singing.
