Allegra Krieger is a promising up-and-coming songwriter from New York with a distinctive take on contemporary grassroots folk.

On the Indiegogo page that raised the money for her sophomore album, “The Joys Of Forgetting”, Allegra writes about herself:

“If I don’t know you already, my name is Allegra Krieger, and I’m a songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY.
After a short stint at music school in Boston, I decided to leave, rather abruptly, and some years of aimlessness ensued.
During that time I harvested olives, planted trees, cleaned motel rooms, waited tables and began experimenting with songwriting.
In the spring of 2017, I moved to New York to record a live album of eight original songs with a band of wonderfully talented musicians.
Since then, I’ve been performing regularly in the city, as well as gigging around the country through self-booked tours.”
