Artist

The BTS remix of Savage Love – to which a few lines in Korean were added for Suga (Min Yoongi) and j-hope (Jung Hoseok) to rap to – , originally by Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, is the first collaboration between the latter and the worldwide famous k-pop group, BTS.

The vocals of BTS' main vocalist, Jeon Jungkook, were highlighted in this remix, along with j-hope and Suga’s rapping, bringing out the beauty of the song.

This track was officially released on October 2nd 2020, after two or three weeks of sampling and putting everything together. Their efforts were rewarded, as Savage Love [BTS Remix] reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, which marked the second number one song for BTS (the first one being Dynamite, which released in 2020 and immediately exploded multiple records) and Jason Derulo (with Watcha Say, released in 2009), and the first number one song in the charts for Jawsh 685. It also reached the first position on the Billboard Global 200 and made it to number two on the Canadian Hot 100.

The song was nominated in 2020 for the Melon Music Awards in the Best Pop category, then during the Gaon Chart Music Awards in 2021 in the Song of the Year – October category, but unfortunately lost both times.
