From Indian Lakes is an American indie rock band formed in 2009 by multi-instrumentalist and producer Joey Vannucchi.

When touring, Vannucchi is accompanied with band members Justin Stanphill (guitar, vocals), Enrique Gutierrez (keyboards, samples), and Chris Kellogg (bass, vocals).

Vannucchi grew up on a remote area in Yosemite National Park in California. He spent most of his youth reading books, playing drums and learning new instruments. He received classical jazz drum lessons and played on a borrowed church drum set for hours daily.

Throughout high school and into adulthood, Vannucchi participated in various bands. At age 20, he started writing and recording songs at a friend’s studio in Indian Lakes, California which he released to Myspace as “Songs From Indian Lakes”. This reference was later shortened to the current band name. He enlisted his friends to perform his material and together they began to play local shows and record albums independently until they were signed by Triple Crown Records in 2013.

From Indian Lakes have released four albums:

The Man with Wooden Legs in 2009,
Able Bodies in 2012,
Absent Sounds in 2014 and
Everything Feels Better Now in 2016.
