Amanda Gorman is a poet from LA, born in 1998. At the age of 16 she was already a well-known and published writer and poet in her local literary circles.

Gorman became the US' first National Youth Poet Laureate in 2017. She also came to international attention following her recital of “The Hill We Climb” at the inauguration of President Joe Biden on January 20, 2021, making her the youngest poet in history to recite at a US presidential inauguration.
