Artist

The Network is a six-person band with new wave and punk influences. The members use stage names and masks to keep their identities a secret, though it was rumored that the band was a side project of Green Day. Green Day’s bassist Mike Dirnt would confirm in a 2013 interview that The Network was a side project for Green Day in the mid-2000s while they worked on other projects.

The band released their first album Money Money 2020 on September 30, 2003.

The band took a 17-year-long hiatus after their performance on October 13, 2005, where they opened for Green Day in California.

Their latest release is a sequel to their first album, titled Money Money 2020 Pt. II: We Told Ya So!
