Imogen Holst

Imogen Holst (1907-1984) was the only child of the composer Gustav Holst, and while she had designs on being a pianist or a dancer, her frail health prevented these career paths. During her life, she was known as a music educator, archivist of her father’s music, and co-artistic director of the Aldeburgh Festival. In recent years, however, the music she composed has gained increasing attention.
