Jaris Shai Ocampo (b. 1999, April 20th), otherwise known as Jari$, is a Filipino-Puerto Rican rapper from San Francisco, CA. After dropping his eighteen-track debut mixtape, “Chapter$” [2015], he would continue to release a string of independent projects throughout High School and more. Those projects would come to be three mixtapes, “No Limit$” [2016], “Never Apart” [2017], & “Intermission” [2018]. At the end of 2018, Jari$ announced his hiatus from music to focus on his mental health, and didn’t plan on returning until 2020.

In December of 2019, one year after his hiatus announcement, he would release a four-track EP “For The Better”, hinting a near comeback to any and every single fan he still had. He followed up after Christmas with his “Notoriou$” Mixtape, and on the last day of that same year, released a freestyle titled “32 Bar$”, which didn’t hit major platforms until two years later. In 2020, he planned a comeback in March, however the COVID-19 Pandemic had something else in mind. Jari$ took it as a sign to hold off, and stay incognito, cooking up in the studio for the time being.

Jari$ went on to drop three more promotional projects in 2021, (“Fluency, Vol. 1” EP, “Only Temporary” Mixtape, “Fluency, Vol. 2” EP), and ended his comeback year with two signature bodies of work, “Off The Clock” EP and “Too Soon To Tell” Mixtape, his major platform debut projects.

2022 was a year for the books, ‘ten’ projects in a year and an impressive five-tape run within 10 months. His most recent mixtape and sequel, “Dedicated 3”, was released on October 13th, 2023.
