FLNT (pronounced Flint) is a British rapper out to break the stereotype that British rappers can only do grime and drill. By dipping into boom bap 90s beats, trap and melodic instruments, all on top of a modern flow and a notable accent, he wants to show that anyone can be anything, if and when you put your mind to it.

Hailing from the Isle Of Wight, James grew up with the times, listening to all kinds of hip-hop, pop and dance, but took a particular liking to lyrical rap. Inspirations such as Logic, Biggie, G-Eazy, Wu-Tang, Nas and Drake, all inspired FLNT to want to start rapping.

At 15, he was freestyling in his room over Youtube beats just for the fun of it.
After moving out to New Zealand at 17, he started to write his No Belief mixtape. Later down the line, he bought his first microphone along with all the necessary equipment, recorded and released it onto Soundcloud and Youtube.

After his song ‘Know The Name’ did particularly well, it kickstarted his drive to create more and better tracks. He released his No Belief mixtape to a wave of support and admiration and immediately got back into writing his follow-up tracks and projects.
After a slew of acclaimed singles that did well for him, he surprise dropped his first serious (yet small) project, the ‘Hold You Over EP’. Not only did this showcase yet more technical ability and sample flips, but it showed dedication and consistency.

As of 22/05, he has announced ‘Yours Truly: The Mixtape’, with a rumored 16 tracks and (when released) will be his sophomore tape debut.
