That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a Japanese light novel series of the fantasy genre written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. The series was serialised from 2013 to 2016 on Shousetuka ni Narou, a user-managed light novel publishing website where users can upload and read other light novels for free. The series was noticed and then acquired by Micro Magazine which published it officially in 2014. The series has about 20 volumes of light novels published at 2022. The series received a manga adaptation produced by Kodansha and Micro Manga. The series received 5 manga spin-offs. The series then received an anime adaptation produced by Eight Bit. The first season aired from October 2nd, 2018 to March 19, 2019. The second season aired from January 12, 2021 to March 30, 2021. The second part of the second season aired from July 6, 2021, to September 21, 2021. The second spin-off of the series aired from April to June of 2021. The series received a film which aired on November 25th, 2022. An ONA of the spin-off Coleus no Yume will air in November 2023. A third season will air in 2024.

The series tells the story of Satoru Mikami, a salaryman murdered who was subsequently reincarnated as a slime in a world of fantasy, sword and sorcery. He then seeks out to build a nation with new allies in an unfamiliar world.
