Seventh Key is a project formed by bassist and vocalist Billy Greer and guitarist and drummer Mike Slamer, both formerly members of Streets, Steve Walsh’s project in the early 80s. Greer has served as the bassist and occasional vocalist for legendary Progressive rock band Kansas since 1985. Slamer has worked with bands like City Boy, Warrant, Kix, Steve Walsh as well as solo projects. The band also consists of keyboardist David Manion, who was the Kansas keyboardist from 2014-2018 and has also contributed to Steve Walsh albums, and backing vocalist Terry Brock, known for working with bands like Kansas, FM, Giant, and Phenomena. Drummer Jamie Thompson was a member for a short while in the mid 2000s. Kansas violinist David Ragsdale has also made guest appearances on albums.
