Joe Forminio was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. He was part of a 4-man hip hop group, Ghostown, from 2003-2006. In February of 2007, he dropped his debut solo album, Heaven & Hell, and attended IAR (Institute of Audio Research) in Manhattan to pursue audio engineering. Although he has absolutely no interest whatsoever in involving major record labels or outside promotion, he continues to put out new music and albums. He currently has four solo albums plus an EP, as well as his latest work, a collaboration album entitled One which dropped in November of 2021. He takes pride in considering himself one of the best, deepest, and most meaningful independent lyricists of all time and continues to work on other crafts of music like beat making and piano as well as new hip hop.
