L.S. Dunes is an American rock supergroup formed by: Anthony Green (vocalist, Circa Survive), Frank Iero (guitarist, My Chemical Romance), Tim Payne (bassist, Thursday), Tucker Rule (drummer, Thursday), and Travis Stever (guitarist, Coheed and Cambria). The band has described themselves as “a group of old friends with a mutual admiration for one another both musically and as people”.

In May 2022, despite having no releases or band members announced, L.S. Dunes was announced to debut at Riot Fest (Chicago, IL) in September. The line-up was later teased in a series of teaser videos with partially obscured photos or silhouettes released on across the band’s social media platforms beginning with a 10 day countdown on August 17th, 2022 with the message, “Hello, I’m not sure if you remember me? We connected a long time ago.” – a possible nod to the band’s members being established rockers. On the final day, the band’s debut single, “Permanent Rebellion” was released.

In an interview with Riot Fest, the band deigned to answer what the “L.S.” stands for stating that it was “[their] little secret”, going on to describe their sound as “love songs for lost souls”.

When asked about the project, Tucker Rule described the band’s sound and message:

“We wanted to do something where you can hear all our bands in it and yet, not have it sound like any one in particular. Our roots are punk rock and hardcore, and the vibe is hope for all the lost souls.”
