Nathan Shaw, better known by the moniker Ekali, is an Electronic music producer who is originally from Vancouver, Canada. He is affiliated with the global music collective Flow-Fi and the Vancouver-based collective Chapel Sound.Ekali has a writing credit on a Drake record.
He has since collaborated with different artists across a variety of genres, including earning a writing credit on Drake’s album, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. He has a growing fanbase and as of August 2017, Ekali had almost 150K followers on SoundCloud, over 58K likes on Facebook, almost 43K followers on Instagram, and 31K followers on Twitter. In addition, Ekali has an active Facebook Group set up by his fans called Ekali’s Trap House.
He has released music under OWSLA. On August 18th, 2017, Ekali released the single “Babylon” featuring Denzel Curry.
