Katorah Kasanova Marrero (b. April 3rd, 1992), better known by her stage name Young M.A, is an MC from Brooklyn, New York, whose nickname stands for “Me Always.”
Young M.A broke many barriers in the rap game with not only her gender, but also her sexuality. She came into the scene as an open lesbian. Throughout the years, however, her views changed. Although she advocates being yourself and being comfortable with who you are, she prefers people not focus on that, and instead focus on her music. She believes her purpose is to influence people to do what they want to do.
She’s made a name for herself with the breakout single “OOOUUU” and her vicious freestyles.
Her debut EP, Herstory, was released in April of 2017.
