Middle Bother was a collaboration/side project of members of three separate bands – Matthew Logan Vasquez of Delta Spirit, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, and John J. McCauley III of Deer Tick.
The group formed in 2011 as a one-off collaboration, releasing a self-titled album on March 1, 2011 and briefly toured. When the various artists from the group find themselves on the same bill at the same venues or festivals, they will often perform songs from the project together, but the group presently has no plans to reunite to release a new record or tour together again.
