Jose Mari Chan (born March 11, 1945) is a Filipino singer, songwriter, and TV host from Iloilo City. Chan rose to fame for his original songs and smooth tenor voice in the 70’s and 80’s, but found his prime success in his seasonal duet “Christmas in Our Hearts" and is known in modern context as “Mr. Christmas.”Chan holds a similar widespread meme-level status during the ebb of the Ber months as Americans herald Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” as the creep of their holiday season.
