The Belmonts started as a trio vocal group in the late 50s. In 1957 lead singer Dion DiMucci joined the group. They had their biggest success in the late 50s and early 60s with hit singles like “I wonder why” and “A Teenager in Love”. In October 1960, Dion DiMucci left the group and started his solo career. In 1966 and 1972 they reunite for two new albums.
