Arma Angelus was a hardcore band from Chicago. Active from 1998-2002, the band’s members were Pete Wentz on vocals, Tim McIlrath on bass, Jay Jancetic, Daniel Binaei and Adam Bishop on guitar, and Timothy Miller on drums.
McIlrath left the band in 1999 to form Rise Against and was replaced by Christopher Gutierrez.

The band’s main vocalist, Pete Wentz, is best known as the current bassist of Fall Out Boy, and fellow Fall Out Boy members Joe Trohman and Patrick Stump made appearances playing bass and drums, respectively, for Arma Angelus on certain occasions.

Arma Angelus the released their debut EP The Grave End Of The Shovel, in 2000. After this, the band went on to release their first and only studio album, Where Sleeplessness Is Rest from Nightmares, through the record label Eulogy Recordings in 2001.
